The Most Followed Dogs in the World

The definitive running count of dog fame, updated yearly. Numbers move constantly, so we verify every figure against public counts at each update; figures below are from our July 2026 check, rounded honestly.

The current giants

Jiffpom — the Pomeranian with Guinness records and the largest combined following of any dog across platforms: roughly 9 million on Instagram and 20 million on TikTok. The most-followed dog on Instagram per Guinness recognition, and at around 16 years old, the category’s reigning elder.

Tucker Budzyn — the Golden Retriever whose caption-voiced videos built one of the biggest multi-platform dog audiences: over 11 million on TikTok plus millions more on Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook. A genuine full-time family business.

Bunny the talking dog — the button-pressing Sheepadoodle at roughly 8.6 million on TikTok, whose word buttons made dog cognition a mainstream fascination.

Maxine the Fluffy Corgi — New York’s backpack commuter, over 6 million followers across platforms.

Doug the Pug — the King of Pop Culture: about 3.6 million on Instagram and 6 million on TikTok, best-selling books, and his own day in Nashville.

Maya the Samoyed — the polar bear of the internet, roughly 2 million on Instagram and 5.5 million on TikTok.

Walter Geoffrey — the screaming Frenchie, over 3 million combined, every one of whom knew exactly what they were signing up for.

Loki the Wolfdog — the adventure-genre founder, holding steady around 1.8 million on Instagram.

Crusoe the Celebrity Dachshund — a decade-plus of costumed character videos and best-selling books, one of the most durable audiences in the category.

The all-time context

Raw counts flatten history, so here is the part a snapshot misses: Boo hit 16 million Facebook fans in an era when that number was barely comprehensible, and no dog has dominated a single platform the way Boo owned Facebook from 2010 to 2019. Kabosu, with modest follower counts, became the most reproduced dog image in history. Follower numbers measure reach; the famous dogs archive measures what lasted.

How we count

Dogs only (the famous cats get their own internet). Individual animals, not breed pages or aggregators. Figures from official accounts, checked at each yearly update, and we note the check date at the top of this list. Suggest a dog we missed via the contact page.
